Okay, my day so far: - love like me ・ 日記
non solum memento mori, memento vivere sed etiam
Okay, my day so far:
気持: grrrrrrr
音楽: Kylie Minogue - Red Blooded Woman
7am: Rudely awakened by mother screaming at sister about something.
9am: Sister comes home from early-morning workout session with Army recruiter and DOES NOT shower immediately, but instead sits to watch TV, saying she's "too tired" to shower.
10am: Get angry call from paternal grandmother asking why sister hasn't left yet to take her to the dentist.
12pm: Get respective angry calls from sister AND mother insisting that I come sit at the dentist's office with paternal grandmother so sister can come home and shower, because she has to go to work at 2pm. Both of them neglect to remember (and don't seem to care when I mention it) that I have to leave for class at 1pm, so that if anything, I've got even less time than she does.

So, Kym's not exactly having a good day. Unless your definition of "good day" includes several examples of blatant disrespect. I wonder how I managed to live on my own all those years and still feel good about myself outside of the loving aura of my immediate family... (that was sarcasm, ya know)

Good, then you won't mind this terribly lame telecom industry joke.
Background: A LATA is a local phoneservice area. Stands for local-area-tsomething-asomething or something. I don't remember. The important thing about LATAs is the connection could be within one (intralata) or connecting more than one (interlata)
So, whenever you go to say goodbye to a telcom geek, you can't use the slang "lata" for later, or they'll say "inter or intra?"

Don't ask me where I got this, but I think LATA stands for Local Access Toll Area. Lata is also Spanish for can. As in the metal kind cream corn comes in.

"Too tired" to shower? What the hell??

Yes, I also found that line of reasoning highly suspect. But it's what she said.
