Somebody ate all my onion bagels.

Now I have to remember which store it was that I managed to find bagels that weren't plain, cinnamon-raisin or blueberry...

ASDA sell onion bagels.

Of course, that doesn't help you. I wouldn't have thought that onion bagels would prove to be a scarce commodity.

It's Southern culture that's the problem. Any bread that's specifically designated to be eaten for breakfast has to be sweet, apparently... Since we live on the edge of civilization the city, if I go to a store that's further out, they'll only have sweet bagels. Apparently in the city there are enough transplanted Yankees to warrant selling onion bagels.

Erm, not that I'm a transplanted Yankee. I was born and raised here in Texas, I just don't have a high tolerance for sugar, especially early in the morning.

Plano is chock full of onion bagels.
Also, here's an oddness. There's a Kroger that I like to call the Babushka kroger, because it seems like it's mostly eastern-european women who work there. But that Kroger is always out of Rye bread, whereas the teenage Kroger always has rye bread. It's weird. I haven't looked for rye bread in awhile tho, so maybe they're better now.
Or maybe all the Eastern European people are buying it up before I get there.

But they have onion bagels. A variety of onion bagels. And everything bagels. Sara Lee really if you're going with pre-made store-produced non-fresh bagels, Sara Lee is the way to go.

If I can get them at all here, they're usually Pepperidge Farm, which aren't bad but tend to be a little more rubbery than Sara Lee. The bakeries around here don't do fresh bagels at all, but if I get really desperate there's a bagel shop in Cedar Hill now.

You guys need a Dunkin' Donuts.
Not the best bagels in the world, but convenient...
And as a New Englander, it's hard to think of a place where DD isn't on every corner :)

The only Dunkin Donuts I know of for sure is at the corner of Coit and Park in Plano, near where Val lives, which is like an hour from where I live. I honestly couldn't tell you where another one is, except that there's probably one in the airport somewhere.
