Look at me, actually updating. Don't faint or anything.

Classes started last week, and I'm having loads of fun getting it all sorted out. I seem to forget every semester that UTA only offers 4 days for drop/add, and end up running around like a headless barnyard fowl trying to get instructors to sign late-add slips because my brain is still at ASU with their lovely 2-week drop/add period. You'd think after 3 years of this I'd catch on...

Otherwise, things are going okay I guess. Since Bruce (who was co-manager with Cindy at the Lewisville site) shipped off to Iraq, They've hired some guy to take over from me at the Coppell site and made ME co-manager at Lewisville (which unfortunately doesn't come with a raise in pay, since it's not technically an increase in duties)... which means that instead of 35 hours I'm working 40, plus school things...

Hopefully the extra hours will help me build back up my savings... At Christmas, my sister, who had taken a lot of extra hours and thus ended up with about $1500 surplus in her November paycheck, insisted on expensive gifts for our parents and brother, and insisted that I go halves. Since I'd just bought a car and moved into an apartment, I only had about $500 saved back up, which was totally depleted by that, and since we've been in a transitional stage at work with regard to the new help, I haven't been able to save any more since December and that's really wearing on my nerves.

Add all that to a final clean break with Miri (if you don't know, ask privately and I might tell you), and I've been utterly exhausted, emotionally and physically, and rather put off LJ for awhile. I can't say if this post means I'm back or not, because I'm really not sure... Though school has a tendency to make me want to rant at the world, so... whatever.

Peace. ^_^v

Um, at the risk of inflaming sibling stuff, that is really unreasonable. And just because you're related doesn't mean you should allow yourself to be guilt-tripped into it. Easier said than done I agree, but still.

And I'm glad you're updating and still relatively sane.

Yeah, well... I couldn't honestly say I couldn't afford it, it just took away all my padding. Which probably means I should have said I couldn't afford it, but... It'll all work out. She'll be out on her own starting next month and she'll realize a few things.

This year I'm knitting all my Christmas gifts for everyone...
