Could someone possibly come down here and teach my ill-mannered… - love like me ・ 日記
non solum memento mori, memento vivere sed etiam
Could someone possibly come down here and teach my ill-mannered neighbors (who happen to be Mexican, but I don't think that has anything to do with it) that when you come to pick someone up, idling outside the door blasting your stereo (norteñas, in this instance) and laying on the horn until they emerge from their residence is FUCKING RUDE?!?!

Thank you.

That's how Mexican people show they like you.

But yes, I hate that shit. I've been dealing with that most of my life. -__-

My people are a rude people.

I feel like it's a really silly thing to get worked up about, but really it's not going to kill you if you turn off the music and get out of the car long enough to go knock on the door. It's bad enough that on a regular basis you're driving through an apartment complex at 2am that has a lot of children living in it playing music loud enough to wake the dead.

It's not just the Mexicans, but they're some of the most annoying offenders. NOBODY deserves to be jolted from sleep by an accordion and a cross between singing and a dying animal.

At my old apartment building, they were pretty much the only offenders. Other than our swinger neighbors on the other side who... made lots of other kinds of noise. But yes. We were on the third floor and could CLEARLY hear the wonderful strains of norteña coming from the ground as though we were right there. >__<;

And, NOBODY deserves to be jolted from sleep by an accordion and a cross between singing and a dying animal. BEST. DESCRIPTION. EVER.

It just happened again.

I'm relatively certain that's a human voice, but I'd swear they're trying to imitate the death wails of injured wild animals.
