Query: what does Manzanita Sol taste like?

Carbonated apple juice. It's not as good as Fanta Apple, but it's a lot easier to find in random stores.

1 can or ravioli
1 24 oz bottle of water
1 small bag of Doritos
a handful of cashews (ha, I went out and bought some nuts 'cause it was something you were eating recently and I had a craving for them! hadn't had them in a long time :/)
about 9 chicken sticks (looks like fishsticks, but it's chicken. mmm)
left over peas and pieces of carrots from a can

Later I will probably drink more water and/or have some orange juice or kool-aid, and drink my last energy drink (Full Throttle) if I plan on pulling an all-nighter to study for my finals. I still don't think I'm eating enough (and this was a lot for today, actually). Twice a day isn't enough for my metabolism. Ballocks!

Actually, I probably eat a little too much for my metabolism sometimes. But I've been reading up on intuitive eating (basically, eating what you want when you want it and stopping when you don't want it anymore as opposed to stopping when you're full or finishing everything), and when it comes to that I'm doing okay, though there are still times when I forgot to eat earlier and I'll eat whatever's there because I'm that hungry, and times when I don't eat anything even though I'm hungry because I just don't want anything or what I want is too much effort/money.

I'm noticing that I have a tendency to not eat a lot for a few days and then eat more one day. I also have a tendency, on days I'm not working (or at least don't have schedule-defined specific times I can eat) to just graze on little snacks throughout the day rather than having an actual meal. I also tend to eat more when I have specific eating times and actual meals, because if it's a meal I feel as though I have to finish it. I don't feel that way about a bag of chips or a can of nuts.

These are exactly the sorts of things I was hoping to find out by keeping a record of what I'm eating, so I suppose it's serving its purpose.

And nuts are good for you! Particularly the more expensive ones (unfortunately), especially almonds and walnuts. Cashews have more fat in them than most nuts, but they do have enough protein and fiber to be worth it. Peanuts are also a good nut to keep around for snacking, if you like them, but personally I don't much care for peanuts.
