Dollhouse... - love like me ・ 日記
non solum memento mori, memento vivere sed etiam
...was actually pretty good this week. I could go into why, I suppose, but as an anti-fan of Joss Whedon I get the feeling my opinion doesn't matter so much. Basically it's just that they finally actually got into the Plot, which turns out to be interesting at this juncture. I can see plenty of ways it could fall flat on its face from here, but, again, as an anti-fan I don't have a whole lot invested in this. I will say I'm starting to question the casting of Eliza Dushku (or however you spell it), since she was seriously nowhere in this ep, and even less convincing than normal when it counted.

Also: yes, I'm aware it airs on Friday. However, the ep is not on Hulu until Saturday, which is where I watch it from because I can't get a TV signal inside my apartment and I don't see the point in paying for cable when I only regularly watch about 5 shows anyway, only 2 of which are actually on cable channels (I'm not counting Doctor Who or Torchwood in this tally because I generally watch these before their US air date via other means, though if I was going to watch them as they officially aired in the US I'd have to have cable to do so).

Was this about episode 6? Because I've seen a few other people saying they were about to abandon it but episode 6 got them hooked.

Yeah, episode 6. I was kinda ambivalent about it before, but finally something interesting happened. That something would have been better with better acting, of course, but the sudden introduction of actual plot elements was at least written well enough that I can't complain too overly much about that.
