Doctor Who Easter thingy
気持: disappointed
I can't be the only one who's offended by the fact that every time there's a psychic character it's a black woman with a Caribbean accent.

While the Doctor Who special did have its moments (I can think of exactly 2), except for those fleeting moments, I could feel my IQ lowering. Rubbish. And I watch Dollhouse, so that's saying something. Seriously, I thought the last special was crap, but this one has succeeded in coming in farther under that low bar than I thought was possible. I suppose, then, in that regard, I should congratulate Mr. Davies for exceeding my expectations.

I mean, why were those other characters even there? They weren't used for anything. Maybe if something had been done with those 5 or 6 (I don't actually remember how many, if that's any indication) extra people, this stale excuse for a plot might have been made interesting. You add in the throwaway Miss Cleo and That Other Thing1, plus one eyeroll-inducingly smarmy female lead, and you need lots more gratuitous shots of David Tennant looking hott before I'm willing to say I enjoyed it.

1 Too lengthy to put in the middle of a sentence, but I really thought having those fly-people eaten by the ray-things was entirely too neat a tying up of loose ends. Besides, they were so nice!
