Poll #24481 friends and cheating

Suppose you're dating someone, and you find out that they've been seeing a close friend of yours on the side. who do you blame for the cheating?

the friend. your friendship should matter more than a little nookie, but obviously it doesn't to them.
the SO. your friend would never betray you like that unless he/she was tricked or coerced.

Both! And spite them! I love spite. And revenge, and other such things which may involve people getting hurt physically.

If two people you trust betray that trust then that's two people you actually can't trust. How they came to wind up betraying you isn't relevant so it doesn't matter whose fault it was. Blame them both.

Both. It takes two to tango, as they say.

Oh my God, it's the footballer saga from last week.

Seriously - two to tango, both to blame. As to whether you make up with either/both of them again - situations vary. I know my sister blamed her friend more than her boyfriend - but that had a lot to do with the friend being the person she was confiding her relationship troubles and worries to, so it was a double betrayal. She dumped both.
